Buying Bonsai Trees
We endorse only one company for bonsai trees. Many sell substandard trees, but this place has awesome plants, and a lot of good gear.
What do you look for when buying a bonsai tree?
- Consider the specific type of plant. Ensure you are not purchasing one can grow well the dimensions you're capable of providing for it.
- Examine the roots, make sure they do not tangle at the bottom of the plant, but rather spread outwards in all directions.
- Look at the trunk: In young plants, it should be solid and smooth.
- Look at the country where the plant is from. Look up the altitude, and check to see if your own country is near the same altitude. This helps the plant thrive later in life.
- Are you going to be around to take care of it? If not, there are some lovely artificial bonsai trees you could buy.
